Location: All

As a result of applying strategic principles to ourselves, Renaissance & Company has been developed with the idea of being able to bring together world leading
specialists and consultants to meet client requirements.

Renaissance has a core of consultants employed directly by the practice, and access to a range of others through established strategic
alliances.

Renaissance consultants have been privileged to carry out over fifty assignments on Global Companies Development Programmes through Scottish Enterprise and Enterprise Ireland.

Assignments of this nature require particular areas of skill and experience. All consultants proposed have experience of this type of work and have worked previously for major international consulting firms. They also have unique style characteristics that will be invaluable depending on the particular needs of each
participating organisation.

Our consultants have established alliances with several of the world’s leading business schools including Wharton/MIT, INSEAD, IMD and Strathclyde Business School.

A recent in-house survey of the companies Renaissance consultants have worked with on Global Company programmes reveals some very significant results:
  • All of the companies we have worked with have made significant decisions related to their international strategy, for example, to focus on key international growth markets, to make confident choices about withdrawing from low margin segments, or to form international partnerships
  • At least 17% of companies with in the survey group have acquired, merged with or formed alliances with competitors to achieve the scale required to fully exploit international opportunities
  • Several companies have successfully agreed refinancing packages to fund international expansion based on their new strategy. Three companies have secured venture capital investment in excess of £10m each to fund international expansion and one company is pursuing AIM flotation.
Services delivered through the programmes include:
  • Strategy development including scenario thinking
  • Building Leadership capacity
  • Innovation, including the development of future options or alternative strategies and growing innovation capability
  • Building strategic capabilities (core competencies) which underpin international strategies
  • Developing a continuous learning process and environment.
